Love theseUpdate 3/17/21- I’m changing my rating on these bags from four ⭐️ to two simply because they have not lasted long. The bag is great, but the part at the top that seals them is terrible. I’ve used these for a couple of weeks, and although they say they are dishwasher safe, I’ve always washed them by hand and they are all getting the “bacon neck” like old t-shirts. I’ve included photos to help you understand. The bags no longer seal completely which pretty much makes them useless. I noticed this right away with a couple but thought it was just me since I had never used these types of bags before but over time they’ve all started doing it. This is a huge design flaw and I hope they improve them.I have also noticed that they do hold on to smells although the listing states they won’t.Now I’m back to looking for another brand to buy.I really like these bags. This was my first experience with silicone storage bags so I’m very happy. I chose these because they do not contain any PEVA and many of the “value” packages do-you really have to dig through those other listings to find that out though. PEVA is basically using a PVC pipe to store your veggies and food items. I definitely don’t want to do that and I’m am trying to get away from the plastic storage baggies as well. These are great for that.These are a very good thickness and have been pretty durable. They are also a good size, but I have realized that I will definitely look for a set with just the larger bags next time, and ones that have the flat bottom. I have found those work much better.My only issue is that some of them become very hard to close once used a couple of times. It’s like I can’t seem to get the tracks to match up correctly and have to mess with it for a while to get it to seal which I expect others to do as well so for that, I have them 4 ⭐️I do recommend them as a good buy though.The seal is so tight they can be hard to open and puts a lot of stress on the plastic seams when you pull to open. They have failed along the seam. Only 2 so far but still disappointingI really love how great these work, especially in the freezer. There are two things that would make them 5 stars - the opening band is so narrow that it's difficult to grip in order to pull open, and it would be nice if there were a small section that would hold onto a disposable label (things don't stick easily to silicone). The seal is tight, and it's very easy to press out all the air before sealing so that you don't get freezer burn.Some of the tops are tough to get a good seal on. They are fairly easy to clean. Don’t put greasy food like pizza in them because it will stain. Kids struggled with some of the seals when using them for school snacksThese bags are great for sandwiches, snacks, and leftovers. We have tried lots of other reusable plastic and silicone bags and these have held up the best! Perfect sizes and easy zipper that stays closed!Love these bags! I've been trying to get away from single use plastic bags for a few years now, but the silicone bags are just too expensive for the amount we use. So far, I mostly use them as freezer bags and they work perfectly. Straight from the freezer you do need to warm up the zipper part with your hand before opening. They are really easy to clean, too... some coarse salt, a few drops of soap, a splash of water, close the bag and shake.These bags are extremely difficult to open. We were hoping to use them for our kids school lunches, but small hands are unable to open them. My husband and I had trouble too. Great seal, but poor usability design. We returned these and decided to pay a bit more for the Stashers bags, which have worked great.
